Stan Koehler and Melissa Nieves did a joint presentation at the Channel 13 Human Technology: Life Long Learning Through Self-Discovery.

Channel 13 chose a joint presentation developed by Melissa Nieves, Director of Adult Education for the Union Settlement House and Stan Koehler director of Peace on the Street for its 5^th Annual Adult Education Student Conference on Tuesday, October 3^rd. The presentation, titled Human Technology: Life Long Learning through Self Discovery was based on a pilot program jointly taught by Melissa and Stan during the summer of 2005.  This was a focused mediation / psychic self-defense program for GED students.  The conference presentation showed participants how to assist other pre-GED and GED students to identify internal negative messages that inhibit the learning process. Through interactive activities participants learnt how to counter self and social sabotage, and reinforce that learning is a natural life-long process.
