Patricia Simon

Patricia was born and raised in Honduras and has lived in East Harlem since 1996. She received her Masters in Educational Communication Technology from NYU and her BFA in Photography as well as her Art Teacher Certification from Parsons School of Design in New York. |
Patricia is an interactive instructional designer, photographer and art teacher.
She is completely versatile designer for web, print and exhibit productions. She
has created interactive designs for such clients as The American Museum of
Natural History, JP Morgan Chase and StarMedia. She has served as program
Director and currently serves as web manager for Creative Arts Workshops for
Kids.
Patricia has also served as a teacher assistant for several cultural
Centers, including Taller Boricua in Harlem and Cooper-Hewitt National Design
Museum. She has worked with youth both in schools and alternative education
settings since 2001. Patricia is bilingual and literate in Spanish and English.
Patricia has been with Peace on the Street since March 2004, serving as designer
of promotional materials and co-developer and co-teacher of the Woman¹s
Self-Defense Program. She currently sits on the Peace on the Street Advisory
Board, providing direction on design and marketing as well as on the woman’s
self-defense.
