Joe Graham: Treasurer 

Joe Graham: Treasurer was born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1971, in the town of Inverness close to where the Loch Ness Monster lives (worth seeing the monster if you ever get a chance).  I went to school in Cawdor in the shadow of a great castle that Macbeth readers will be familiar with. My upbringing was very rural nearing on complete isolation with the nearest neighbors and public road being over a mile away along a rough dirt road.

Thanks to my mother, the best part of my childhood was without TV or telephone so my brother and I were very resourceful in finding things to do. This led to a very practical childhood of building and fixing things for fun. 

It also led to childhood income as it became widely known around the neighborhood that I could fix just about anything from washing machines to cars. 

I left home at 18 to attend University in London where I studied mechanical engineering and computer related technology. It was here that I became interested and practiced Zen Meditation and read a lot of literature on meditation and anything mystical. 

I moved to the USA in 1994 to start a career in computer programming. I lived in Chicago until 1995 when I moved to New York City to work for the United Nations (UNICEF). I met my wife in 1994 and we had our first child in 2001.
